Let’s gather some nice series and movies here for this free evenings when somehow no one else has time to play.

Disclaimer: Please realize that many of the movies/series here are fiction made to entertain and do not necessarily show real life tactics or procedures..

Too many stereotypes and mistakes. But since there's not much movies about Eastern front from the West...

I can advise "Unsere Mutter, Unsere Vatter". Pretty cool series, drama and realism in battle scenes.

Watched those series a while ago. It was awesome.
My two cents on topic:

I liked that movie very much.

Never eared of such thing in my life =D

On a side note I've been watching a lot of "The Big Bang theory" recently, I find it to be quite hilarious =P

Also Brickleberry is quite fun. Staring Comedy Central's Tosh.O, Daniel Tosh as Malloy (the bear)

Yes I do realize that it's not shooting or action filled or even tactical, but I have enough of that in games =P

Here are 2 movies which both show training in the US forces and certain aspects of war that are often ignored:

Full Metal Jacket (Vietnam War)
Jarhead (First Gulf War)

PS: after watching those you'll hopefully stop complaining about how I treat you during training biggrin

Oh, it was not hard enough for us, actually smile
I can advise to watch Surviving the Cut TV show, it shows training process of different US units like Rangers, Marine Recon and SEALs.
